Celebrating its 81st Anniversary, InJourney Destination Management Holds Various Competitions at Destinations Across the Archipelago

InJourney Destination Management (IDM) in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, presents various competitions at the destinations of Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Palace, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

This activity is part of a series of activations for the National Pride Trail of Civilization, "Despite Different Ways of Preserving Culture, Still Sharing Love for Indonesia." This is in line with the Indonesian Independence Day theme, which carries the spirit of "Indonesia is Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous."

IDM presents a variety of traditional games typical of the seventeenth which are participated in by visitors together with the community around the destinations of Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Palace to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), starting from climbing the greased pole, eating crackers, tug of war, assembling temples, marble races, clogs, stilts, sack races to breaking bottles.

Residents of the Bokoharjo Village Family Welfare Movement (PKK) in the Prambanan area, as well as vendors in the Borobudur Art Village and Borobudur Temple area, also participated in this activity. IDM provided a space for interaction between tourists and local residents, allowing for a shared sense of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and the joy of the 17th of August.

The TMII area also presents TMII Hirux, a team relay race inspired by the Hyrox concept with a twist on Indonesian folk games. Each team of four participants runs in a relay through five stations, a uniquely Indonesian challenge that emphasizes teamwork, agility, and a spirit of togetherness.

InJourney Destination Management, through its series of offerings, aims to transform destinations into spaces for community and cultural encounters, as well as spaces for community collaboration and empowerment for economic actors around tourist destinations.
