Welcoming the First Tourists to Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko

InJourney Destination Management begins its optimism for 2025 by welcoming the first visitors to all destinations, including Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Prambanan, Ratu Boko Palace, and Ramayana Theater and Performance. This tradition is not only a symbol of respect, but also an effort to highlight the richness of Indonesian culture and nature while promoting quality and sustainable tourism.

For example, in Prambanan and Keraton Ratu Boko, visitors were immediately greeted by the Director of Finance and Risk Management of InJourney Destination Management, Joel Siahaan, along with the General Manager of Prambanan & Ratu Boko, Ratno Timur. Meanwhile, in Borobudur, a warm welcome was given by the Director of Borobudur Tourism Park, Mardijono Nugroho and GM Borobudur AY Suhartanto wearing traditional Javanese clothing.

"This welcoming is not just a ceremony, but our way of providing a unique experience and enriching tourists' insight into the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future generations," said Joel Siahaan.

The event began with the garlanding of woven cloth as a symbol of warmth and appreciation for local culture with global quality. The welcoming atmosphere became more lively with the accompaniment of traditional arts such as Prajurit Bregodo in Prambanan, Punakawan Dance accompanied by traditional Srandul music in Keraton Ratu Boko, and Kirab Budaya with a delman in Borobudur. 

As part of the hope for the preservation of nature and culture, the event was also closed with a joint Bungur tree planting action. 

“This tree planting is a symbol of growth and sustainability, inviting every tourist to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future,” added Joel.

This experience is certainly interesting and memorable for first-time tourists this year. For example, Sugeng Priyono, a visitor from North Sumatra, admitted that he came to Prambanan to introduce history to his children. 

Meanwhile, Supriyono, a tourist from Ngawi, East Java, called the warm welcome an unforgettable experience. "We feel very appreciated and happy with this welcome, hoping to visit again," he said.
