Commemorating National Children's Day, InJourney Strengthens its Commitment to Preserving Cultural Heritage for the Nation's Next Generation

PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney in collaboration with PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, Ratu Boko or InJourney Destination Management held the InJourney Community Care program in commemoration of National Children's Day 2026 which falls on July 23, 2026 with the theme "Realizing Dreams, Preserving Indonesia".

In celebration of National Children's Day, InJourney presents a variety of educational activities designed to build character, creativity, leadership, and a sense of cultural and environmental awareness. These activities include the Leaders' Inspiration & Heritage Commitment, Interactive Forum, Creative Workshop, and Sustainability Challenge, which provide participatory learning experiences in the Prambanan Temple area.

InJourney also invited more than 500 students from the Prambanan, Kalasan, Berbah areas, as well as the Sleman Regency Children's Forum to learn, create, and get to know Indonesia's cultural heritage better through direct experiences in the Prambanan Temple area.

As a form of support for education, InJourney also distributed aid to schools around the Prambanan area that are strongly committed to developing local arts and culture, namely SMP Negeri 2 Prambanan, SMP Negeri 3 Berbah, and SMP Negeri 2 Kalasan. The aid was also distributed to the arts communities of Sanggar Tari Ganesa Kebondalem Kidul and Sanggar Seni Sekar Ngrayung Bokoharjo.

The assistance focuses on providing facilities to support extracurricular arts and cultural activities, such as dance, karawitan, macapat songs, and wiyogo groups. This support is expected to strengthen learning spaces for children to continue to learn about, practice, and preserve culture as part of their daily lives.

The selection of the Prambanan Temple complex as the location for National Children's Day was not without reason. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, standing for over a thousand years, Prambanan Temple is a national treasure, representing the glory of Indonesian civilization. More than just a temple complex, Prambanan symbolizes the harmony between culture, nature, and society that has been preserved across generations.

Sarinah implemented the program "Learn and Play with Sarinah: Reading for the Earth, Growing for the Country" at Kauman 1 Public Elementary School in Malang City for 100 students, through assistance with school supplies, storytelling, educational games, and distribution of plant seeds as environmental education.

InJourney Tourism Destination Corporation (ITDC) held a National Children's Day & School Holiday Celebration in The Nusa Dua, Bali, by providing school supplies, religious services, and educational and therapy facilities to 50 children from YPAC Bali and an orphanage. Meanwhile, InJourney Aviation Services (IAS) participated through an introduction to the aviation services profession, a storytelling session, the distribution of 120 IAS Anak Indonesia story books and 1500 bags and school supplies to orphans at the InJourney Community Care kick-off event in Bogor.
