Sleman Scouts' Grand Assembly Commemorates the 65th Scout Day at Prambanan Temple
Thousands of Scout members from the Sleman Branch Office (Kwarcab) participated in a grand assembly to commemorate the 65th Scout Day at Siwa Field, Prambanan Temple, on Thursday (August 27, 2026). The event, attended by Scout representatives from various regions in Sleman Regency, served as a momentum to strengthen the values of discipline, togetherness, and caring among the younger generation.
The Deputy Regent of Sleman, Danang Maharsa, acted as the leader of the Grand Roll Call for the 65th Scout Day Commemoration in 2026. On this occasion, he also encouraged scout members to uphold the principles of wise and effective leadership.
"Through the commemoration of the 65th Scout Day, let's reaffirm the spirit of Satyaku Kudarmakan, Darmaku Kubaktikan. Continue to work, serve, and be a proud generation for Sleman Regency, DIY, and Indonesia," explained Danang Maharsa.
Sleman Deputy Regent Danang Maharsa stated that the Scouting movement fosters a generation of young people with character, independence, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness. He noted that amidst rapid change, young people face increasingly complex challenges.
On the other hand, the Scouting movement is also expected to be present in everyday life, including through environmental awareness, social activities, strengthening literacy, digital skills, and disaster preparedness.
"We need young people who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also strong in character, possess integrity, and possess a spirit of service," he continued.
The solemn Big Roll Call was attended by the ranks of the DIY Regional Scout Movement, Branch Scout Management, and invited guests.
On that occasion, the Adult Appreciation Medal (TPOD) was awarded, consisting of the Darma Bakti Medal and the Pancawarsa Medal, as well as the Garuda Scout Proficiency Medal. The series of events concluded with the announcement of the winners of the Most Active Branch Headquarters Competition, the DKR Evaluation, the Most Outstanding Gudep and Scout Leader Competition, and the Special Scout Gymnastics Performance.
